Runes:

Gangplank has one of the lowest base HP's of any melee fighter in the game so its very important to abuse grasp procs to build up bonus HP, sustain, and poke the enemy down.


Demolish is by far the best rune in its row for GP.

Bone Plating vs burst champs, Second Wind vs poke champs, and Conditioning when you don't think anything is going to happen for the first 15 minutes of the game.

Overgrowth is the main rune here but Revitalize is good vs poke especially when paired with Second Wind.

Biscuits are for extra sustain in both health and mana. (make sure to use them when you're low)

Time warp can be used to bait at low HP with biscuits since you gain a large amount of HP suddenly.
Its very strong when combined with corrupting potions for the increased MS.

Items:
+ The Trinity Force + Hydra build is the primary and safer build.

+ The Essence Reaver + Prowlers build is weaker early and a lot squishier, but the dmg is extremely high in the mid and late game.

In either build you can replace Collector or Lord Dom's with Navori Quickblade if you want more CDR.

Boots are mostly situational depending if you feel like you need the extra defense or not.
